Cleveland Fowler, of New York City, who was sitting in a New Jersey prison on other charges, was transported to Greenwich on Wednesday to face two counts each of larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny for the incident that took place on Sept. 14, 2017, said Greenwich Police Lt. David Nemecek.
Nemecek said Fowler, along with another person allegedly stole several thousand dollars of coats from Saks Fifth Avenue on Greenwich Avenue.
During the "grab-and-run" crime, Fowler allegedly grabbed an armload of goods and ran out the door and jumped in a vehicle with an accomplice before driving away.
He is being held on $50,000 bond.
